Kartini Days..

Kartini is a figure of women who was  a prominent Javanese and an Indonesian national heroine.  Kartini was a pioneer in the area of women's rights for Indonesians.

RA Kartini known as Kartini is a simple figure women from Jepara, Central Java who was born on April 21, 1879.  Kartini is a Javanese women who has exceeded her time view.  although she herself shackled by age tied with customs.  To fill the daily Kartini wrote many letters to her friends from Netherlands.  In her letters she poured a lot of her thoughts on the subject of woman in Indonesia, such as low social status of women, the rights can not claim knowledge, must be willing to wed and co-wife.  She also got a lot of information about the progress of woman in European thought, which raised Kartini's desire to raise the degree of women. She wanted her in her country have the right to seek knowledge, to be able to think ahead.  She alaso set up women school.

Her desire to continue her education at school teachers in the Netherlands blocked she had married on November 12, 1903.  However after giving birth to her first child a few days.  Kartini died in central java, September 17, 1904 at the age of 25 years.  The letters ever written and sent  Kartini to her friends then gathered and made in a book called " Out of darkness to light".  This book gives inspiration to women in other areas to fight for their rights.  Since that time many women standing up Kartini Schools can equate their rights with men.  To commemorate Kartini services then be stipulated Kartini's birthday April 21 as Kartini Day.

We can see the remarkable development of women in the present moment.  They are more independent, Intelligent and has contributed in all areas.  Even some of the women who had occupied the position as a leader or as an entrepreneur.  All the independence and success of today's modern woman called "emancipation".

Women whose gentle nature now can play a role in various fields.  In the past perhaps limited in their movements, but in this time they have the same rights as a man.  There are dabbling in politics, goverment, and many of them also dedicated themselves as entrepreneurs.

So, let us prove to the world that women can also be great, independent and smart.  Let us be the new Kartini. Indonesian Kartini who smart and polite that as women wem can also contribute in developing the nation.  Do whatever positive activities and good that we can start from the family environment.
